if you cannot afford coaching…it ok. year by year so many student who clear IAS without coaching. you have to buy some basic books from market .
for guidance you can choose some online platform like Unacademy, InsightIas, upsc4U, these platform are fully free and give you every stage guidance for you UPSC prepration.
Anu kumari (AIR2nd rank - 2017) she is also prepare by herself without coaching. so make sure you give your 100 % in self study…stay motivated…if you don’t understand anything..do google.
